Nov. 20th, 2006 11:28 pmApparently in Japan you can now buy a CD of voice actresses telling you off [page is in Japanese]. They say it's for "chairmen, managers and teachers who aren't usually scolded, people in high positions who really masochistically want to be scolded"... 12 voice actors provide 100 tracks including the unforgettable 「ばか、ばか、ばか」[idiot! idiot! idiot!], 「大っきらい」 [I hate you!] and「今度やったら許さないよ」 [if you do that again I'll never forgive you]. (Each actor does each line for a total of 1200 scoldings at a mere 1 yen each (plus postage).)
The same company also have a CD with 12 * 100 renditions of the line「おにいちゃん」[onii-chan, lit. "big brother", almost untranslatable but never mind because if you don't watch anime you won't find this funny anyway :-)]. The track listing starts "1. Slightly happy 2. Very happy 3. Very angry " and proceeds through "20. While brushing teeth", "28. In the bath", "41. Reverb", "70. In a storm", "72. While typing" before reaching the final crescendo of "97. Liking 98. Really liking 99. Loving 100. Reaally loving"... [They provide a few samples (caution: several megabyte WAV file!)]
