synchronicity

This weekend I got round to setting up Apache2 and WebDAV and Foxmarks, which is what I needed to achieve a long-held aim of getting different instances of Firefox to synchronise bookmarks with each other (and without doing it by giving all my bookmarks data to some random service provider). So now I've remerged the slowly diverging bookmarks files from home and work and the laptop. (I took the opportunity to reorganise them a bit and take out the ten-year-old broken links too; some of those things have been in there since I was at university...)

I mention this mostly in case anybody else has been looking for a solution to the same problem.
