Having thought a bit about The Future(tm) over the Christmas holidays, I've had a chat with our personnel person and indicated that I'd be interested in (a) doing more stuff that's just design and less actual keyboard-required programming and (b) any opportunities to do long term (6mo-1yr) work in Japan with or for our customers/partners [interestingly I am not the only person in the company who has enquired about (b)]. So we shall see whether anything comes of that.

I shall now go back to my usual drifting-through-life, I expect.
