Made it...

Well, I've made it to Japan (and got the laptop connected to the wireless network :-)). The long flight wasn't actually all that awful; not fun but it never is. I had an incredibly fast checkin at Heathrow (only one person in front of me in the queue) so I got from the terminal's front door to the departure lounge in 20 minutes flat (most of that delay being for the usual security theatre). I could have lived without the final bus from the airport to Okazaki being delayed an hour by roadworks, though...

This time round I'm in a building with separate rooms but kitchen facilities shared between us; I haven't actually seen any of the other residents yet, and I'm not completely convinced yet that there are any at the moment :-)

I've nipped out to buy enough for coffee and tomorrow's breakfast so I think I'll try for some sleep and think about what I actually need to do tomorrow...

Just watched the video of your place and it looks quite nice compared to your last one. Also like the cheezy 70s pimpin' music and the helpful lady who showed us what the inside of an empty fridge looks like. My only criticism is that the bathroom scene didn't live up to the musical expectation.
