My parcel of stuff I had to ship seamail arrived today; so that's about a month and a half transit time, which isn't too dreadful. As an added bonus there weren't any customs charges levied on it...

I was always fond of that method when I did fieldwork. Mind you, my variant involved bundling up anything I could about two months before heading home and then shipping it surface to the dept. It was usually sitting there waiting for me when I got back. Never got hit with customs charges either. Nice shiny bundle of goodies.
