coincidence?

So on 1st October I phoned the Inland Revenue to say "send me a tax return". On Monday I phone again, because I haven't received it. They say "oh, we sent it on the 9th; must be delayed in the post; wait a week and if it's still not arrived call us again.". And then it arrives on Wednesday.

I'm still trying to decide whether I think this is purely coincidental...
