Bizarre translations (#12 in an occasional series)

Spirited Away:

• Japanese dialogue: あいつもう三人も呑んじゃったんだぞ。[aitsu mou sannin mo nonjatta n da zo]
• My (lousy) literal translation: He's already swallowed three people!
• English sub: He's already swallowed two Frogs and a Slug!

The really odd thing is that although the male bathhouse attendants are described elsewhere as Frogs, IIRC this is the only reference to Slugs; did the translator just come up with that idea all on their own?
